Greetings, beloved Caoba community!
I have been meaning for a long time, to start with a monthly letter to our Caoba friends and stay connected in a more private way. Its been taking me longer than planed, but here is the letter. The idea is to keep this as compact as possible with information of up comming retreats, discounts or just news! I hope you like this, but if you wish not to receive this kind of messages, feel free to unsubscribe to the newsletter.
We want to thank you for your support and your interest in this life project. We are always evolving and growing in the most organic way possible taking also your ideas into account. Hopefuly we get to welcome back again.

Past stories to be up to date.
The Peccaries. Our big family of peccaries was released!! that made us very happy. We started this project with Paquita, who came into our lives more than 20 years (!!) ago. We started with her a reproduction project and Paquita was the leader of the pack. Peccaries are a matriarchad, means are led by female. After some years a new leader took her place and kicked her out of the cave they have built under a tree (quite impressive and deep). When they were a big group, we decided to release them, but not Paquita. She stayed with us, because she would not survive in the jungle due to her age. She still live with us and is a very very old lady. A bit blind, with no teeth and always ready for cuddles, she is spending her last years with us and we will start the project again after she pass away.
Casa Caoba. This is our new house in Caoba. Its the perfect place for a family or a couple who wants to stay longer in Caoba. Has a spacious kitchen, two rooms, bathroom with shower, big terrace to relax and do yoga, dinning area and good wifi. We are very happy to have this house in Caoba, because it offers the experience of a living in the jungle. Its not too close from the restaurant area, which ads to the privacy, 5 minutes walk from the river. The use of the premisses are included in the price. Its a nice neighbourhood with interesting activities.

The arrival of the rainy season!
After some dry months and a few drops at the beginning, the rainy season is finally here. The green is much more green, the plants and animals are happy. This means for us less tourists and more work mantaining the place and seeding. This is the time for us to plant the seeds we collected in Caoba during the dry season. They stay in the bags for this season and another reainy season before the trees are planted in the place where they will grow to become big trees. This season we have for the first time Macondo (Cavanillesia platanifolia) and Abarco (Cariniana pyriformis) trees!! hopefully we get to give away some of them for future reforestation projects at the end of the year (in the seccond rainy season).
